Help with whole grain Spelt, or "FARRO" ....

I have this one pound bag of FARRO I purchased in NY's Buonitalia (Chelsea Market), and I really don't know how to prepare it without having it taste as bland as oatmeal or as plain as natural brown rice. The reason I bought it was because I wanted to try it as an "alternate" grain, in place of say, rice or pasta. Any suggestions?. The bag was $4, imported of course.
