graduation celebration restaurant suggestions?

As a graduating high school seniour, my parents have offered to take me out to dinner to celebrate- my problem is deciding where to go! For a while I was considering Babbo, but we think it might be a little too expensive (especially because we have to take the LIRR in from Long Island, and for four people that adds on quite a bit). What I'm looking for are suggestions as to where else I could choose to go. I'm open to and like all kinds of cuisine (Indian, Italian, all kinds of Asian...), but I'm especially interested in unusual and eclectic restaurants (which is why I was initially attracted to Babbo). Nothing too upscale or fancy- I don't want to have to wear a dress, whisper my order, and raise my pinky. As for price range, I'd say about $75 per person for a full course meal (appetizer(s), main, drink, dessert), possibly a little less, but not too much more.

I also posted this on the Other Boroughs board, because I'd be open to restaurants all over the city. Thanks for reading :)
