I know we've discussed Cha Cha Cha before on this board, but I have to say that I am really coming to apreciate the consistent quality and deliciousness that they manage to uphold every day. I think they rate a reinforcing accolade.
Last night I had one of my favorite take out dinners from there -- the grilled steak burrito combo. What a joy! Perfectly juicy and flavorful steak, just enough tangy cheese, sweet and caramelly grilled red onions and whole chunks of lusciously roasted garlic -- with a side of their perfectly fresh tomato/red onion/garlic/cilantro salso,a nice dollop of chunky guacamole with lots of lime in it, and a side salad with terrifically balanced balsamic vinaigrette ---Yum! Yum! Yum! I was in heaven.
While I still don't like the dining experience on site -- too noisy, too much cement, not comfortable -- being able to enjoy such a great dinner at home is a real treat. I particularly apreciate that I can count on their food being:
a.) As great as I remembered it from the last time I enjoyed it
b.) Always perfectly fresh and delicious
c.) A perfect balance of comforting and exciting
Now granted, we are in the middle of fabulous produce season here in New England, but it never ceases to amaze me that even in the dead of winter they care enough to ferret out amazingly fresh tomatoes and other veggies and their food never gets that "winter wan" feel about it.
Gee, it's coming up on time to start thinking about lunch......
