Gosh, but I love an overbaked potato

The thread on yams got me thinking about overbaked potatoes. One of my favorite things in the food universe. I like to sit them on a bed of Kosher salt and bake away at 400-450 for 1 1/2-2 hours. I did it for my SO the other night and forgot to punch enough holes in it. It partially exploded. And yet, and yet, he said it was the single best potato he had ever eaten. So....

Does it get any better? Anyone else feel the same way?
