There is a new restaurant in the space where Tofu Land used to be--708 Vallejo at Stockton. I think the sign says "Chinese-Vietnamese Cuisine." The place looks spiffed up a bit.
I picked up a menu--pho, bun, rice plates (i.e., mostly Vietnamese). They also have crab rangoon (8 pieces for $4.50) in case anyone is feeling nostalgic. I've never had it, but my BF says every Chinese restaurant in Iowa offers it.
Anyway, if anyone has a clue where the women who ran Tofu Land are and if they're cooking, let me know. In the meantime, any leads on excellent soon tofu seafood stews are appreciated. Sigh.
