Very good new Thai restaurant in Forest Hills, Queens

Thai on Austin, 70-15 Austin St. (downstairs), Forest Hills, Queens. Next to Tako Sushi.

This place is brand new, only a month old, and I tried it last night for the first time after seeing an ad in the Queens Tribune (which I happened to be looking at in the Barnes & Noble across the street). The prices are reasonable for Forest Hills (entrees are mostly around $10), and the food is delicious and AUTHENTIC. More like Sripraphai or Sea (Williamsburg), and better and cheaper than the more Americanized Thai at Bann Thai and Q, the other Thai places in the central shopping district of Forest Hills.

I am posting here unasked, because the place was almost empty -- I think the owners may not know how to get the word out, and it's easy for restaurants to get lost in the shuffle in that two-story minimall on Austin (esp. if they're downstairs). My interest as a Forest Hills resident is that there are few good restaurants in the neighborhood, especially of the authentic ethnic type. So try this place and tell your friends and help good ethnic food thrive in Forest Hills!
