One thing I really miss from the northwest is a good teriyaki place. And i'm not talking about that rubbery chicken you can get at the sushi restaurant if you don't eat seafood. I'm talking about the place that cooks their meat over coals or other grill to give it that nice charred taste, and you can smell it cooking from over a block a way. I'm starting to think maybe the bay area just doesn't have such a place.
I'm in Oakland, but willing to travel for delicious teriyaki.
