A good rotisserie chicken take-out?

svl | Oct 3, 2002 09:16 PM

Any *recent* opinions on roasted chicken take-out in the city?

The best for me have been Giro Polli in North Beach (which is too far to go all the time from where I live -- Noe Valley) and Mike's on Mission and 20th (they have chicken, turkey legs and wings, ribs, all to eat in or take out) which is pretty good and near me but I'd like a little variety once in a while. I've tried various Pollo Supremo mostly in the Mission and they are wildly inconsistent (mostly too dry).

The chicken from supermarkets like Mollie Stone, Andronico's and Whole Foods are usually kind of boring. And forget about Safeways and Albertsons: cardboard.

Any ideas?
