I realize this question has appeared before, but I could not find any good recent threads, so here it goes:
I'm looking for good restaurants, on somewhat of a budget (say, under $30-$35 per person for a main and appetizer, but without alcohol), that are within walking distance of the Moscone center. Usually we would be a party of 4-8 people, and we are willing to walk more than just a few blocks for amazing food (either dinner or lunch). We are generally open to all kinds of food, particularly French or fusion or anything spicy. Any new restaurants (in the last year or so) that are particularly good? Any good deals on prix fixe menus? Also very welcome would be suggestions for dessert and/or coffee places or wine bars. It would be nice if the noise level would be low enough that we could have a conversation without shouting.
If there is a very exciting new restaurant that seems perfect for this type of occasion, but would require a cab ride, please feel free to mention it as well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
