Good pita bread in East Bay?

SLRossi | Jan 7, 2003 12:11 PM

So, I've been frequenting this little Greek place in Orinda called Aleko's (quick digression: pretty decent food, nothing fancy or near it, at reasonbale prices, takeout oriented). I have discovered that pita bread is actually good. My previous experiences with store bought varieties have been that it is this thin, dry, and not worth it. So the question, where in the East Bay can I find REAL pita bread retail? I regularly shop at Berkeley Bowl, and have been surprised that I haven't found it there.
