good Northern Chinese in Manhattan?

Dr. Jimbob | Apr 10, 2006 07:06 PM

Staying in NYC for a few days (around W57th and 8th Ave) and have so far been treated to some lovely Sichuan/Hunan food (at Grand Sichuan St. Mark's) and Shanghai style cooking (at Yeah Shanghai on Bayard in Chinatown). Was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for real deal northern style Chinese cooking? I'm a fan of Tianjin Gou Bu Li Baozi in Flushing, but am mass transit bound and would rather not make the schlep, given the choice -- any suggestions for stuff like this in Manhattan?
