Good meal with slight flaws at Brazenhead in Marina

Kind of a secret restaurant type of deal I guess, no signage out front.

Started out with the seafood chowder (cream based fish chowder) that was good with large chunks of salmon and what appeared to be snapper, but was extremely peppery.

Next had the spinach crab salad with nice, small fresh spinach and an almost non-existent sprinkling of dungeness. Probably 1 Tablespoon worth.

Overlooked my fear of bovine spongiform whateveritis and had the Filet in Hollandaise with Mushrooms. It was perfectly cooked, sauced and quite a good piece of meat.

My primary complaint was the massive legs on the tables almost completely prevented sitting close enough to eat your meal. I initially decided I was going insane and just overlooked it, but as the night progressed, I saw a multitude of customers perched cat like on the edge of their tables.

Small but lively bar (maybe 20 seats, tops) with a good crowd.

Was a good meal and kind of a romantic little hideaway.
