Four of us had dinner here tonight. From 6pm to 8pm almost every table was filled with Chinese diners. We had: excellent salt-baked squid with cashews; hot and sour soup for four which was one of the best renditions of this I have ever had; razor clams in black bean sauce--good flavor; sweet and sour pork; something called beef in satay sauce which was a very very tender beef with onions and peppers in a brown sauce--also excellent but not what I know as satay. Some kind of sweet, liquid Congee-ish dessert was on the house afterwards. With three beers, one glass house red wine (Forest Glen merlot) and three cokes, the bill came to $20, per person. Highly recommended. On Bowery north of Canal Street.
