The incredible dish was Fish Molly, the restaurant is called Kadai. It is where Mirch Masala used to be, across from University Mall on Fowler. Mirch Masala had excellent vegetarian, mostly South Indian food. Kadai has added meat dishes and a range of tastes that I haven't seen anywhere else in the area.
The ingredients in Fish Molly are fish (of course), coconut, green chilis, black cardamom, curry leaves and magic. The dish is from Kerala, and this might be my first experience with Keralan food. The taste is subtle and complex and the fish was moist and tender. We had a chicken dish that I can't remember the name of that was very good too, with a mango based sauce.
