The ex-head chef of Tanto in Santa Clara has moved onto work with the owners of Sushi Tomi to open Gochi in Cupertino.
My Japanese buddy who eats out 90% of the time says this place is his current favorite.
They opened 10/19 for dinner and started lunch service 10/24. They will have over 180-200 items on the menu in the same creative style that Tanto Santa Clara had.
No wonder the new Tanto in Sunnyvale hadn't been the same...
I don't live near it and I'll be out of town this weekend, so South Bay 'hounds, check it out and report back!
