We are off to Edinburgh this weekend and would appreciate help finding good, local, Scottish food. We live in London, so we aren't very interested in eating "ethnic" cuisines this weekend away--Scottish only unless you know a place so special it must be visited. We would like to go to places that are using local ingredients and cooking with love. We prefer places that are welcoming and that focus on the food not fashion, but price isn't important as long as the food is excellent. We won't have a car, so we can't do forays into the countryside.
I promise to report back. I'm planning to visit the Edinburgh Farmer's Market on Saturday hoping to find some interesting stuff. Sorry for the last minute request.
