I am not a coffee drinker (tea is my choice), however, I entertain a lot, and I like to serve coffee. Problem is, I don't know how to measure the coffee to get the right strength that will appeal to most of my guests.
I have a typical drip coffee maker, and I use freshly roasted and ground coffee by Peets (usually the french roast or the mocca-java.) I serve decaf because that's what everybody requests. The water is always filtered.
So how many scoops of coffee should I use per cup measure on the pot? Should I weigh the coffee on my kitchen scale, instead of scooping it? I'm just looking for some rule-of-thumb for a good cup of joe so I'm not taking wild guesses all the time.
