Good chow recently Downtown Detroit

Have recently had the pleasure of trying 2 of the new Renaissance Center offerings. Both are fairly expensive but with unique and enjoyable menus.

They have also made it easy with valet parking for $5.

I think I've been to each twice but will be back to explore the menus.

Coach Insignia- At the top the view is great (it doesn't rotate anymore, though). I believe it is a Matt prentice restaurant. The menu was fairly creative and I think I've had all the appetizers. Normally I don't care about a view, but given the prices aren't ridiculous for the food, the view is a nice add.

Seldom Blues- Its too distant to be called Soul Food. But it does have a seafood Jambalya to kill for. Also have seafood quesadillas and some excellent lamb and seafood. Service is tops too (although I only need good service if I'm paying alot).
