I eat veggie meats from the grocery store on a fairly regular basis and many of them are quite good. Not meat but close enough to be a good ingredient.
I tried the mock chicken at Greens Vegetarian recently and it was harshly mocking me. Too hard and almost bouncy. (The food was otherwise quite good.)
Does anyone have any experience with more tasty/close-to-real-tasting veggie meat at Chinese restaurants?
