Restaurants & Bars 1

Good bye, Galerias

Last fall, after more than fourteen years (in three locations), Ramiro sold the Galerias restaurant to his brother, Ruben. I was a little wary at first, but at least it was staying in the family. Ramiro was spending all his time opening the new Galerias in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, two weeks ago Ruben sold the restaurant to someone else and the new owners let nearly everyone who worked there go. I've spent many a happy hour "training" new bartenders and wait staff once or twice a week over the last fourteen years, but each time the previous bartender had left on their own accord. Without the bartenders, wait staff and kitchen staff that made the Galerias and without Ramero overseeing everything, I doubt it will be the "Galerias" for much longer. I will not be back after approximately 1,000 visits. I guess I'll have to plan a trip to Las Vegas if I can't find a replacement nearby...
