The subject says it all. I recently had a very lackluster bowl at Suishaya in Chinatown. A clear plain unflavorful broth with one or two chunks of Kalbi, daikon, and a small handfull of cellophane noodles floating around in it. The broth was really bland. I will admit the Kalbi was good but not enough to save the soup.
Is there a Korean restaurant where I can get a real kick @ss bowl of Kalbi Tang? You know the type. . . .a rich flavorful broth swimming with beef stock and shredded scallion. . .large moist chunks of Kalbi. . .giant pieces of soft chewy daikon. . .and a bundle of slippery slurpy cellophane noodles. It wouldn't hurt to give a side of kochujang to spice it up either.
I so want to enjoy a nice hot aromatic bowl of Kalbi Tang on these cold winter days. Please help me indulge and keep my fondness for satisfying Korean comfort food! Thank you!
