Alan, the chef and owner of the G. Truffle, never fails to disappoint and tonight was no different.
Eight people and a bottle or two of wine.
It was lobster week (specials change by what Alan can get and what he wants to cook) and two in the party ordered the whole bug. "Great" was all I heard from that side of the table as was the review of the beet salad with gorgonzola dressing. Others had the butterfish and steak. Also came rave reviews from the eaters.
The G. Truffle also has a prefix menu and two of us ordered it. Every night the prefix changes and tonight it was spicy lobster cocktail (good), a duck comfit taco was next and all who tasted (passed around) loved it followed by an amazing steak in a balsamic/mushroom reduction. Simply great.
They followed up with a dessert of mango ice in a champagne bath. Good stuff.
This place is ALWAYS a hit.
