girl's weekend suggestions

OK, guys, here is the challenge: a group of five girlfriends, spanning at least three decades of birth, some of us who have only met online, others who have met in person numerous times, are having a reunion/just for fun long weekend in SF in April. We'll be staying in the Union Square area. One of us comes from Calgary, Alberta; one from North Carolina (Raleigh/Durham); one from the Florida Panhandle; one from Southern California, and of course me. Since I live the closest, and am originally from the Bay Area (and still have family there) I have been named the hostess/tourguide. I want help with restaurant advice. Here are the parameters: one of us is a vegetarian, at least two are decidedly NOT chowhounds, and our ideas of a fair price differ (at least one of us was totally horrified at the idea of Chez Panisse when it was brought up by another -- not me -- You mean they charge that much and you don't even get to CHOSE what you eat??? -- she said). So, looking for ideas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have some already, but want your input. Dim Sum is a given, and bonus points for a place in chinatown, as everyone but me is convinced they HAVE to eat in chinatown one day. We will have a car, and at least one non-drinker among us, so a designated driver to boot!! (so feel free to go afield a bit....)Good vegetarian-friendly places near tourist areas/sites that are moderate in price would be great....oh, and most important, they should be fun and NOT dressy!!
