Giorgio's of Gramercy- Is it going downhill?

rose | May 22, 2006 09:15 AM

I went to Giorgio's for the first time last year after reading about it here on this board and I absolutly loved it! I was so happy that such a great spot was right in my neighborhood. In addition to dining there we began to order food for delivery and things were great! But the last couple of times it seems to have gone downhill. ,
First of all the last 3 times we have waited for over an hour for our food to come. One time I called to check and make sure our order went through (ordered online) and although I was very nice the man on the other end was quite rude to me.
The food has also been inconsistant. One time my boyfriend ordered a chicken ceasar wrap and instead a chicken ceasar salad came. Not a big deal, BUT the salad was wilted and the whole dish tasted funny so he ended up throwing it out.
The last straw that has made me write this was that when we ordered again a few days ago our order again arrived late and when I went to pay the delivery man he had absolutly no change. Now we always tip well bit I ended up having to give him about a 30% tip. We only live 2 blocks away!
I am very upset because I love this place and I want it to do well and I want to keep ordering from here. Have our last couple times maybe just been a run of bad luck or have some of you also experienced this lately?
