Ginza lunch report

Akatonbo | Mar 9, 2004 01:23 PM

Just got back from the Chowhounds lunch at Ginza Fish. I forgot to take detailed notes on how everyone liked the food, so I hope everyone who was there will weigh in with their opinions. I had one of my favorites, the chicken cutlet (a tonkatsued chicken breast), with another favorite, the sashimi salad: a small bowl of vinagered seaweeed topped with a small heap of crab meat (real, not surimi), a slice of salmon and another of octopus, all of it sprinkled with sesame seeds. To judge from that, the seafood was as pristine as usual. The lunch special is a mere $7.95, though sushi and sashimi are more in line with prices elsewhere. To all of you who have passed by and judged the place by it's neighbors (seedy hotel, run-down Chinese take-out joint) - give Ginza a try.
