I've been using Robert Rothschild's Ginger Peach salsa for a bean dip recipe. I've tried other salsas but they don't cut the proverbial mustard. At $8 bucks a jar, I cringe every time I have to buy it for this particular recipe. So, I'm going to experiment and try to come up with a recipe myself.
I was wondering if anyone has a recipe using the following ingredients that I can use as a starting place. Any other tips or suggestions you might have?
Here are the ingredients from the label: Peaches, seasoned diced tomatoes (tomatoes, tomato juice, salt, sugar, peppers, onions, celery, calcium chloride, spices, citric acid), tomato paste, vinegar, apples, red & green peppers, worcesterchise sauce, raisins, candied ginger, jalapeno peppers, black pepper, red chili peppers.
There are no chunks of celery, raisins etc. Just tomatoes, maybe some peaches and/or ginger.
It is a little sweet with just a bit of heat.
I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments you might have.
