Giant meatballs at Mamma Francesca, New Rochelle...

gutreactions | Oct 19, 201506:50 AM     8

I have been pleasantly surprised over my last several visits to the new Mamma Francesca on Pelham Road, New Rochelle. Flavorful versions of old classics like fresh Tomato Salad; Broccoli Rabe, one evening with beans; Rucola and Radicchio Salad with Gorgonzola; a fine Eggplant Parmigiana; and the other day, one of his giant, soft-ball sized Meatballs. I was able to share it with a friend. A recent Misto Frutti di Mare loaded with seafood over a bed of linguini was easily shareable, too. They have been promoting a Lobster Dinner on Wednesdays all day for a reasonable $18.
The view of the New Rochelle boat clubs and L I Sound is a treat, too...
