Geoffrey's, Roslindale, Brunch + I can't count all the bakeries in Rozzie.

Had a tasty brunch there this morning - a number of interesting options, such as a farina custard, although went with a spinach and mushroom omelete that was pretty decent, though cooked well done on the outside which is not the usual -

Ah, but the hangover cure special is now Geoffrey's "Famous" DonutMuffin. Saw them upon entering the bar area and eyes lit up - like the description, it is a large muffin that is coated in cinnamon sugar with a donut-y cake consistency inside - served warm with good butter to make it even more decadent - great way to start with your first cup of coffee. Also some decent looking scones and other baked goods.

So what is up with all the bakeries in Rozzie Square? Fornax + about five or six others in maybe a four block radius - wow...when you are ready to fall off the Atkins wagon, here's where to start. I will try to sample them over the coming months and give a comprehensive review, although feel free to jump right in.
