a friend and i just stopped into gena's grill in the east village (210 1st avenue btwn 12/13th) and had a very good cheap dinner.

i had the the bbq pork ribs (small order 5.50) which were excellent and the green plantains (2.50) which were so so. my friend had the cubano sandwich (4.00) with pork and a slice of ham which was amazing and a side of moro (2.95), which was very good. do have the mamey shake (2.75) which was amazing.

very simple--three tables, very clean, very friendly.

the menu is on the website, below
