A gem find in Hayward - RAJA - Indian buffet

Anybody been here ?

This is one of those finds that one gets excited because it happens only once in a while. And I am not big on Indian food but I was impressed with the lunch buffet. Don't think this place was ever mentioned on this board.

It had plenty of dishes, not as extensive as Bombay Garden in Newark. It had maybe 7 or 8 main courses and a salad bar and dessert. But the quality here was impressive.

All were tasty without a doubt and not dried out as many other buffets I've been to. Fresh naan was served also. And each table had white linens.

I was very impressed with the Chili paneer. Very moist, complex spicing and delicious. The lamb vindaloo is also exemplary. There are many other dishes as well that were all done well. Seems like the kitchen cook them with care.

What a value for $6.99 per person !
