Everyone knows Galco's is the place to go for wacky micro-sodas, but they also have a deli counter and make excellent sandwiches. The bread is perfect deli bread--crusty and chewy, but soft enough to be easily eaten. If you order "the original" (Ham, salami and gabagoo, or some such combination, with cheese, mustard and pickles), they make several in advance and lay them on the counter, so you can just walk by and pick one up. Height of convenience. Less than $5 got me a sandwich, an exotic soda and a candy bar.
Also: Galco's is one of the few places in America where you can still get that politically incorrect delicacy, Candy Cigarrettes!
