I'll be in New Orleans next Friday through Monday... Will I be able to get soft-shell crab this time of year? (I read the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board's "in season" schedule and it seems soft-shells are not in season, however other sources have mentioned soft-shells are available virtually year round.)
I'm intrigued by both Galatoire's and Acme Oyster Company and would like opinions on the soft-shell crab at each. I realize these are two completely different dining experiences, but both restaurants are of interest to me.
I'd also be happy to hear other recommended dished for Galatoire's and Acme, as well as other places to get good soft-shell crab.
