Fuji (China Bowl) Chines and Japanese in Santa Rosa

Hi Folks,

I have to write and tell you all about my favorite place to go for Chinese in Santa Rosa...Fuji
They also serve sushi and many different Japanese dishes, BTW. The service there is awesome.
Everyone is so freindly and seems happy to be there. Today, when my wife and I went for lunch
(she had the sushi and I had the S&S chicken lunch special, both excellent) they gave us free
soup for Chinese New Year. The atmosphere is casual, but nicely done. Definitely not one of
those on the cheap decorating jobs. The owner is proud of his restaurant and it shows. He was
telling us about additional work he wants to do to the place. They have been making
improvements over the years and there is always something new.

Anyway, back to the food. It's always fresh and they give you big portions. I almost always have
leftovers. My wife says that the fish is great and I have liked everything I have ordered. One time
we told the owner to make us whatever he wanted, "Surprise us" , we said. Well, he made us this
great dish with pine nuts and peas and carrots and chicken and it was delicious. He also did some
dish with cabbage and peppers that was simple but unique and very tasty. They also have the best
Kung pao I have ever had. It is like no other Kung Pao I've had. The sushi menu is extensive and
they have a sheet with pics to help you if you are a novice. The hot and sour soup is also the best
I've had. I know that they use to say that they would cook up your ingredients if you wanted to
bring your own, but I don't know if they still do that.

Pay them a visit if you are in the North end of Santa Rosa. They are on Piner Road, before
Marlow. Try the lunch specials off the board, or out of the menu, or try 'em for dinner. You will
be pleased.
