Fudgie Wudgie demo table at Costco

greygarious | Nov 24, 201005:15 PM

I can usually resist the Costco samples because I do most of my cooking from scratch. I saw that among this demo's samples was pumpkin fudge, a favorite of mine and my best friend. I have only had it from Winfrey's, a candymaker in the Boston area (no relation). The Costco stuff, promoted as having 30% less sugar than most other fudge, was outstanding. I bought a box of the pumpkin and another of the penuche. They had 6 or 8 kinds, the usual suspects. Preboxed so no assortments save for truffles. The creaminess of the fudge comes through much better with the decreased sugar presence. (Unable to decide which to keep and which to give for Xmas, I opened both and halved them so each box will have both flavors.)
