I'm a little dissapointed with the inverse proportionality of the popularity of the posting boards versus the quality of the site. I respect and cherish the fact that everyone is free to voice their opinion and god bless if a good recommendation is given out that enhances one's dining experience: I just feel the mission statement of "Chowhound.com" no longer applies. This posting board no longer is indicative of the "anti-Zagat"; it feels more like "Zagat-lite". Maybe I'm overreading or a snob, but I feel like a recommendation for pizza within a 3 block radius or 40 restaurant queries about the same exact thing or a positive review of an exceptionally bad barbecue chain is the equivalent of Spam-mail; spam to me is not only a waste of time but also reduces the overall quality of a site.
There, I've said my piece. Love it or hate it I am just being honest.
