help! frozen duck disaster!

I'm making duck this evening, and last night I took the frozen bird out to thaw. This morning it's still frozen almost solid. I have a little more than six hours before this becomes a disaster (i.e. when I want to get started on dinner).

I have a microwave and a fan assisted oven. But I am under the impression that it's not a good idea to artificially thaw a frozen fowl and then re-cook it.

Any suggestions??
