I have a couple of questions for you all! I made a big Mexican dinner this past Sunday, and cooked way too many frijoles de la olla (basically, cooked pinto beans with a little onion, pepper and fat). I've been eating them all week and was wondering how long cooked pintos will keep? At 6 days old, should I toss them?
Also, we made carne asada, which I bought pre-marinated from a Mexican grocer here in Los Angeles. While I usually really like the pre-marinated stuff, this time it was a bit salty and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for making one's own marinade. What's your best carne asada recipe?
