fried tofu puffs?

After buying and quickly consuming several packages of "tofu puffs" from Phoenix Bean (http://www.phoenixbean.com/products_t...) at Andersonville Farmers Market, I would love to make it at home. Quick research on this board suggested that freezing and defrosting firm tofu is a place to start.

Any other tips, tried and true experience? I'm thinking this will be a great lunchbox item for me and for kids as well.
