Fried Green Tomatoes - New twist

I tried a new twist on fried green tomatoes last night. Found some lovely sharp and sweet tasting heirlooms at the store and used an idea I got from a restaurant we go to. I dusted with flour, dipped in an egg wash and then in panko and fried. They were unconventional, but really, really good. I ended up having to ‘hold’ them a bit in the oven and they stayed very crisp.
