I'm hosting a few intern candidates for a lunch downtown this Friday. Normally I have my choice amongst the local eateries - Nic and Stef's, Water Grill, Cafe Pinot, etc. I have an urge to try something different - short of making the candidates find their way to Langer's via the Red Line =) - and I was hoping someone could help.
I seem to remember a sushi joint inside the Bonaventure where I was taken when I was once in these guys' and gals' shoes. Would that be worth a looksee? As point of reference, we're in the California Plaza. I don't think we have time to book it to Little Tokyo and/or Chinatown - so this has to be within walking distance. Price-wise - we can do apps and entrees - but nothing like the Water Grill tasting menu. Also, I'm leaning towards veggie and/or seafood items given Lenten obligations.
