fresh fish

lori | Jul 21, 2003 09:54 AM

Hey all,

I work near JFK/Umass and live in the South End. Just bought a new grill and I'm on a grilling kick, esp. with fresh fish...i.e swordfish, striped bass, tuna, etc.

The question is - any suggestions on good fish markets anywhere in this vicinity?

I have been to Morse Fish on Washington; it's good but I'm hoping for more of a selection (and maybe even less cost?)...? I know Lamberts on Morrissey Blvd (hmm. technically is it still Morrissey? ) has fish but some of it is previously frozen, and I'm looking for fresh only.

How 'bout S. Boston? Or near the waterfront (i.e Jimmy's, Barking Crab area, etc) Any wholesale fish markets there that sell fish retail? I would think there would be, but again..I don't know.

Thanks in advance!
