Looking for fresh "asian" wheat noodles

honkman | Mar 4, 201506:46 PM

I am looking for a recipe for "asian" wheat noodles. Obviously there are different variations and brands and they are sometimes described as yakisoba or lo mein noodles in recipes. Since we are living close to H-Mart I saw larger varieties of these type of noodles as "fresh" noodles in their fridge. Unfortunately all of the brands seem to use Yellow 5 and 6 and sodium benzoate. I don't want to start a long discussion about pros and cons about these additives but I would like to avoid them if possible (and no I won't die or get ADHD when I once eat them in a product). Does anybody know if other shops, e.g. some of the japanese supermarkets around Convoy, have these products without the additives ? (and no I don't look for special organic artisan products made by one sect of monks which once a year come down from their mountains and commit suicide afterwards but just for something decent which isn't fluorescent in the dark.
