French bakery

My search for decent French baked goods in Chicago just ended -- in Greektown. Artopolis Restaurant, a popular neighborhood spot (306 S. Halsted at Jackson), also has a GREAT bakery and patisserie -- they told me they supplied a bunch of downtown hotels. Wonderful croissants, epis, and a variety of other breads and pastries -- who would have thought of looking in a Greek restaurant for great French bread? No brioche, alas -- the best I've found so far are at the Swedish Bakery in Andersonville, which are nothing to write home about.
