freezing fruit crisp or cobbler?

Can a fruit crisp or cobbler - not sure what the difference is - be frozen successfully?

Do you bake it first?
Do you defrost to bake?

If already baked, do I defrost then reheat it?
Or do you reheat it while frozen?

Does it matter which kind of fruit is used?
