Frank Pepe's Has Gone Downhill

Went of Friday.

Crust was crunchy (burnt) without the usual chewiness. The cornmeal on the bottom was noticeably absent as well.

Sauce was somewhat sour, without any tangyness.

Cheese and mushroom topping likewise were just piled on and not very fresh.

Our waitress looked like she was going to collapse at any moment, while the pizza-maker looked to be a college student.

I have loved this place the few times that I have gone in the past, but never have I seen such a drastic turnaround as this. I wouldn't even call the pizza that I had on Friday good. It was passable at best when compared to any average slice.
