The France Michelin 2019: a pleasant surprise, at least in Paris

John Talbott | Jan 21, 201906:38 PM     35

I’ve been cynical about the Michelin France ratings for a long time because it’s been three years behind the times, because it rates floral displays and napkins over food, and because it elevates places and rarely dumps them.

But this year, it gave me some hope that the new management has implemented some changes.
The fact that they downgraded L’Astrance was long deserved and the recognition of newer talents at L’Arcane, Condesa, Louis, Ken Kawasaki, Geaam, and La Table de Bruno Verjus most welcome. Plus Frenchie.

“Welcome back to the fight.”
