Little Fountain or Komi for Mom-daughter dinner

merry | May 4, 2004 02:31 PM

My mother is coming to town this weekend and I'm trying to figure out where we should eat Saturday night. We've gone to Little Fountain Cafe before and she's liked it very much, and we might return, but I'm wondering what other places we might try out that fit the bill. The bill is: good food, on the quieter side, not too expensive (entrees $10-$20). A nice sort of neighborhood joint, in other words.

One stipulation: my mother does not eat meat, although she will eat fish. I eat nearly anything.

I was thinking Komi might be a good option but I don't know what their menu/atmosphere is like. Anyone care to weigh in? Any other ideas?
