remember how a while ago there was a big ol' sign on the south union square scaffolding that said 'whole foods -- coming this summer'?
there's still scaffolding there, and signs for filene's and forever 21 (if i recall correctly) but no more whole foods. and summer's fading fast.
was the whole foods a pipe dream? a false promise? or will it emerge from that chrysalis of blue tarp to deliver on its promise of overpriced organic kale and free range guinea hen and silken tofu in dazzling variety?
for the record, i'll always prefer the farmer's market number one choice. but sometimes you have to be at work and can't go on weekdays. and saturday's greens fade by thursday, you know? and what will the poor girl eat for all of friday's salads?
