First thanks to all the CH board members helping before I landed in Spain. My picks are all outstanding:
Segovia: Jose Maria is the best cochinillo I have ever had. Crisp outside, moist and delicious inside.
Toledo: La Abadia. Fusion tapas, try the award winning Bombon de Foie.
Sevilla: La Bulla. Modern tapas, try Carpaccio de Presa and Langastino with Popcorn and Guacamole. Also Veneria San Telmo, modern tapas, try the foie parrilla and foiegras en terrina.
Another mention, Egaña Oriza for the bar. Fantastic rich tapas!
Granada: Restaurant Mirador de Aixa is amazing. The views, the top rated menu and the food was fantastic. Salmorejo, Duck in berry sauce, and Filet were all 5 stars.
Barcelona: We wanted off the beaten path, so Restaurant Marnairo fulfilled our every wish. Menu Manairo turns into 12 dishes, so be prepared; it was very good.
Tapas24: Best Salmorejo ever! Foie Burger, Avocado Tempura, Bikini Comerc24 are all standouts and 5 stars! Also Cuidad Condal was fantastic.
Many other tapas were in our travels and Sevilla is the most and least cost of all the cities. And some we missed due to lack of time. Hope to be back soon!
