so i'm cooking a v-day/b-day dinner for my honey again this year. i'm not the greatest food-wine pairer. so i'm stumped with what to serve with my sweet/tart dessert. the menu is as follows:
app: foie gras w/ sliced pears and toasted brioche
wine: a sauterne
main: bacon wrapped filet mignon, blue cheese potato gratin, and creamed spinach
wine: a big cabernet
dessert: key lime pie (this is by request)
can anyone provide suggestions? muscat maybe?
